Fussy

I'm a little fussy. I've not been sleeping well, and it's starting to catch up with me. I wish I could take the baby out at night and put her back in in the morning.

On a happy note, the kids are fairly easy to take care of and keep themselves busy, but I feel bad about "parenting" them from the couch. We took them to the circus this weekend, and for the bargain price of $1 we bought them a couple inflatables.
I figured (if they last till then) they would be good backyard/pool toys. Speaking of the pool, Bella's been sporting a swimsuit for about 2 weeks now, and she swims up and down the hallway. She says that she is on vacation, she even packed her little suitcase up. If I walk down the hall without swimming with my arms, I get in trouble.
I'll try to post more later when my brain is not so mushy.

#3, or Summer Girl

We are still processing the exciting news of a healthy baby girl, the kids are both excited as well. When we told them, Bern (with a smile on his face) said "doohh" Homer Simpson style. I also overheard Bern telling someone that it was OK that it's a girl, he likes little sisters. We feel like Bernard is all the more special to us since he will be our only boy, and will be a good protector to his sisters. Bella wants to name the baby Summer Girl, so that's what we will be calling her until she is born. We don't have a real name nailed down just yet, but once we do we will be keeping it a surprise till she is here (so don't ask because I have a hard time keeping secrets)! Isn't the 1st ultrasound picture absolutely adorable? I know I'm biased, but still.

Ultrasound!!

We are thrilled to announce that our baby GIRL looked healthy during HER ultrasound today! Unfortunately, my due date got pushed back to August 10th, but I told my doctor I'd sweat her out long before that.

Grammy was ready with both a boy outfit and a girl outfit for the occasion.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

We ventured out to Cottleville's St. Patrick's day parade today. We sat next to Mannino's meat market, which was having a bbq, which smelled very very good, which caused me to miss half of the parade because I was waiting in line to get some. I thought that the parade started at 10, and we rushed rushed rushed to get there, then got there and realized it was actually at 11. We scored some good seats though, but at the last minute people jammed in front of us, some standing. So after missing half the parade I come back to our seats to find that I can't see the other half of the parade. At least the kids had fun:)

Dinner in Bed

Yesterday we had a late lunch out, followed by blizzards from dairy queen, so although we fed the kids dinner Brian and I were too full to eat. Funny thing about pregnancy, though, is that you can go from stuffed to starving in 2 seconds flat. We laid down for bed sometime after 9:00, and after chatting awhile I told Brian he would need to go out and get me a taco. The sweet man actually said he would (I wasn't counting on that), and I told him (in great detail) how he could just make me a few nachos and bring them to me in bed I would be fine.

Background: when I was pregnant with Bernard I was having a particularly strong craving for tacos (notice a theme here?) and asked my beloved to run out and get me some. We lived in south city, less than a block from a Mexican joint, and it was probably around 8 o'clock in the evening, so this request was not an extremely difficult one to fill. Brian, being the practical soul he is, said that "I would be fine without the tacos", and refused to to go out. I was crushed, because part of the joy of pregnancy (or so I thought) was that the husband was under obligation to fulfill his wife's cravings.

Obviously, my man has softened a bit in this area, and for that I am grateful. He came back to bed with a huge plate made exactly to my specifications. I told him that there were way too many and he said that they looked good so he made some extra for himself. Mommy and baby (and daddy, too) went to bed with happy tummy's.

No brother/sister photo session is complete without mommy making them kiss.

The bride and groom of the wedding Bella was in a few weeks ago had their marriage blessed in the catholic church, as well as a 2nd reception in the groom's hometown (the 1st wedding was small and didn't include invites to most of the groom's side. So, Bella got a chance to get dolled up and sprinkle some petals one more time. Bern was smokin in the new Easter outfit that Grammy got him, after he put it on he looked in the mirror and said "hello handsome."

Now that Bella's flower girl days are behind her, I decided that it might be best to trim her hair up to her shoulders, because when it's long it takes forever to blow dry and looks a little ratty by the end of the day. She looks so cute, I'll post some pictures soon. She squealed with joy when she saw herself in the mirror after the cut.

Today my pregnancy-mush brain got the best of me, I dropped Bella off at dance and ran to target, looked down at my feet and noticed I was wearing two different shoes. Nice.
