Down but not quite out.

This week we had a visit from our beloved parents as teachers educator. She recommended reading a book to Gabbi everyday, and I have to admit I groaned a bit inside because lately there is not enough time in the day. But, a little tiny light bulb went off in my brain. Combine the fact that Bella loves to "read" to anyone with ears and Gabbi needs a story a day and what have you got?

Bam!
We are all down with colds this week, and spent a lot of time lying around. From left to right: Daddy, Reid-O, Bella, Panda, Pinky-pie, Gabbi, and beary.

Poor Gabbilicious had her first ear infection, but she's taking it like a champ. Check out that drool action.

Hopefully this weekend will be restful and everyone will be back to 100% by Monday.

What a smart and resourceful mama you are, and what a good sister Bella is :)! I see your pink and brown baby room. We are doing Oksana's room in pink and brown too. I'll post pictures when I get it done!

I wondered if you are aware that Gov. Nixon has proposed a $4.1M budget cut for Parents as Teachers programs?

Would you be willing contact the Governor's office to voice your disappointment and ask for funding to be reinstated?
Call (888) 880-8233, a toll-free number that connects directly to the Governor's office. It's available for Parents as Teachers advocates until Wednesday, Feb. 2.
-Give the receptionist your name and home town
-Identify yourself as a supporter of Parents as Teachers
-Ask that they inform the Governor that you are very disappointed about the $4.1 M cut
-Please feel free to add a short personal story
-You do not need to talk to another staff member; leaving a message at the desk is perfect!

Or you can send an e-mail through the Parents as Teachers Action Center. Visit http://www.parentsasteachers.org/SAVEMOPAT, scroll down to the bottom of the screen, fill in your email address and other information, follow the prompts and personalize the email to the Governor's office and hit "send".

Thanks in advance for your support!
